Der Blick vom Schlosspark Babelsberg auf den Tiefen See und den Jungfernsee, die Havel und die berühmte Glienicker Brücke ist einzigartig. Zu verdanken haben wir ihn Peter Joseph Lenné und Fürst von Pückler-Muskau, die dem Park gestalteten.
Mittelpunkt ist das Schloss Babelsberg. Es war mehr als 50 Jahre der Sommersitz Kaiser Wilhelms I. und seiner Gattin Augusta von Sachsen-Weimar. 1833 gab Wilhelm, damals noch Prinz, Karl Friedrich Schinkel den Auftrag zu diesem neogotischen Schloss.
Auf den zahlreichen Fußwegen im Park öffnen sich immer neue Aussichten auf die Havellandschaft und die Silhouette der Stadt Potsdam. Ein künstliches Wassersystem versorgt die Parkvegetation sowie die künstlichen Seen, Wasserfälle und Bachläufe. Durch den Sturm gab es Schäden im Park, die aber keine Einschränkung darstellen. An den Wochenenden ist es belebt, aber der Park ist groß genug um sich zu entspannen. Man sollte die Herbststimmung zum Besuch nutzen.
In das Schloss Babelsberg kommt man derzeit nicht.
